E-mail

SMTP configuration is required for the system to send e-mails. Use this to send emails for user account activation and password recovery. See the Activate user section for more information on how to activate a user account via e-mail.

Go to SMTP configuration.

  1. Fill in the SMTP server details to enable the system to send e-mails:
  • SMTP host: The address of the SMTP server to use for sending e-mails.

  • Port: The port to use for the SMTP server. The default is 587.

  • Security: The security protocol to use for the SMTP server. The default is STARTTLS.

  • Username (if _Authentication is enabled): The username to use for the SMTP server. This is usually the e-mail address of the account used to send e-mails.

  • Password (if _Authentication is enabled): The password to use for the SMTP server. This is usually the password of the account used to send e-mails.

  • Sender address: The e-mail address that will be used as the sender of the e-mails.

  • Sender name: The name that will be used as the sender of the e-mails.

  • Frontend base URL: The base URL of the frontend. This is used to generate links in the e-mails, such as the link to the login page for account activation and password recovery.

  1. Click the Update configuration button to save the changes. The system will now be able to send e-mails using the specified SMTP server.

You can test the SMTP configuration by clicking the Send test e-mail button. This will send a test e-mail to the specified address. If the e-mail is sent successfully, a toast message will be displayed.
